Counselling skills for EFT practitioners
Counselling
is a vital skill in all one-to-one therapies that involve working with a client's
emotional well-being.
EFTTA, in conjunction with our sister organisation the Psychotherapy & Hypnosis Training Academy (PHTA: www.phta.co.uk ), is pleased to offer a programme of counselling skills training for EFT Practitioners. Counselling skills training is a fundamental part of the PHTA integrative Diploma, and consists of one full Saturday a month from May to October. We are pleased to be able to offer EFT Practitioners the opportunity to access all or part of this PHTA programme. The training covers basic and more advanced counselling skills, and includes looking at counselling from a person centred, existential and psychodynamic perspective. The training is very practical with plenty of opportunities to practise the skills in the classroom. This is a real opportunity to develop your client skills, confidence and self-awareness. Topics covered are as follows:
May 3rd - Introduction to Counselling, empathy & active listening
June 7th - Putting into practice the skills learned in the May class.
July 5th - Counselling from a person centred perspective
August 2nd - Counselling from a psychodynamic perspective
September 6th - Counselling from an existential perspective
October 4th - Advanced skills, immediacy, challenging & advanced empathy.
